Robinson Racks Up More Endorsements in Congressional Race

Third Round of Endorsements Come from All over First Congressional District of Virginia

Tappahannock, Va – Eight more names were added to the long list of endorsements candidate Scott Robinson has picked up in his run for the First Congressional District.

“As chair of the Veterans and Military Families Caucus of the Democratic Party of Virginia, I am happy to endorse Scott Robinson for the First Congressional District,” said Joseph Harmon. “As a recently retired veteran, Scott has a unique understanding of the needs of our veterans and military families, and he will take an inclusive approach in representing everyone in the First Congressional District.”

Only three months into his candidacy, Scott has now received a total of 25 endorsements from community and Democratic party leaders. His endorsements come from all parts of the geographically diverse First Congressional District.

Opal Stroup- Co-Chair, Spotsylvania Democratic Committee

Ralph Bresler- Chair, James City County Democratic Committee

Joseph Harmon- Chair, Veterans and Military Families Caucus of the DPVA

Sandra Engelhardt- Vice Chair, Veterans and Military Families Caucus of the DPVA, Member of the First Congressional District Committee (Newport News)

Carter Phillips- Former Chair Hampton City Democratic Committee

John Jenkins- Board of Supervisor Member, Prince William County

Pete Frisbie- Chair, Prince William County Democratic Committee

Gary Pash – Former Board of Supervisors, Stafford County

With the addition of this most recent round of endorsements, Robinson continues to develop a strong infrastructure of activist and community leaders from within the district.

“This campaign is being built by the people who are from this district and it is the very reason why we will win.” stated Scott Robinson. “Our clear advantage in this race is that once people understand that they are going to get a congressman who works just as hard as they do, those people get on board and are advancing this campaign forward. They know that if we are ever going to grow our local economy; if we are ever going to advance our children’s educational experience; and if we are going to ensure that every veteran is always taken care of, then we need a congressman who knows how to get things done. Just as all the people who are supporting my campaign know, this election isn’t just about changing Virginia. It is about changing Virginia for the better.” concluded Robinson.

Scott Robinson is running for Congress in the First Congressional District of Virginia. He is originally from Heathsville, where he worked as a waterman before serving 25 years in the United States Army.

Why I'm Running

On August 3, we began our campaign to take back the First Congressional District of Virginia. As we set out on this mission, I am reaching out to all of our partners in this effort to talk about our campaign. My roots in Virginia’s Northern Neck instilled within me the value of honesty, hard work, and accountability. In building my family, improving my community, and serving my country these were the principles that guided me, and they will be the guiding principles of our campaign.
